Lessons Learnt from the Macarthur Real Estate Engagement Project
The Macarthur Real Estate Engagement project aims to support new and existing tenants of real estate agents to help prevent them from entering the homelessness service system. The Project uses a collaborative approach using existing resources of the service system.
This report is aimed at practitioners in the human services industry who are interested in engaging with real estate agents to assist struggling tenants.
This report includes a background to the project, outcomes of ongoing evaluation and key learnings. The final section outlines the key aspects of the Project Model which can be transferred to other locations. Appendix 1 includes samples of project material, including MOUs and tenant referral forms, which can be used by anyone setting up a similar project.
